Consumeter maps travel behaviour for Walloon Commissariat-General for Tourism


For several consecutive years, DataD has been measuring via the Consumeter how Belgians spend their day trips in Wallonia  on behalf of the Walloon Commissariat-General for Tourism. The Consumeter gauges opinions, views and (purchasing) behaviour among 1,500 Belgians. Doing so, the answers are representative of the adult Belgian population (17-64 years old). For several consecutive years, DataD has been measuring how Belgians spend their day trips in Wallonia via the Consumeter on behalf of the Walloon Commissariat-General for Tourism. 

The Consumeter surveys opinions, views and (purchasing) behaviour among 1,500 Belgians. In this way, the answers are representative of the adult Belgian population (17-64 years old). For the entire sample, the margin of error is 3% (95% confidence interval). This is an online survey launched quarterly. It is weighted by region according to the population.





Targeted data

DataD investigates where day visitors come from, what their age is, how their families are composed, which destinations they visit and what they do there. Besides Wallonia, we also investigate where day tourists go in Flanders (with specific survey on the coast), the Brussels Capital Region (incl. the city of Brussels) and abroad. This data can be purchased on request.
